Placing orders on behalf of customers
If you need to place an order on behalf of a customer, Swepio allows you to do that by using their account login information directly in your webshop. Follow these simple steps:
- Launch your webshop in a browser
- Next to the search box, click the 'Login with username' button
- Select your customer in the newly opened page by using the user search bar and then selecting his/her company. If necessary, you can also create a new customer using the option on the right
- Examine the company's information and make any necessary changes
- Click the 'Save and sign in' button
You will then be connected to your shop using the customer's account and will be able to place an order on his or her behalf. What's particularly useful is that you can change the prices directly in your webshop for the customer whose account you're linked to. You can change the price whenever it is visible to you in the web shop: in the product list, on the product page, in the cart, and during the checkout process. However, changing the price in the web shop is only valid for this particular order. One more thing - if you change the price of a product, you must put it in the cart - any page refresh will undo the changes. To change the price directly in your webshop, follow these steps:
- Choose the company in the main page header
- Click on the price of the regular product or on the 'Choose variation' button on the product with variations
- Set the price you want to charge
- Confirm the new price by pressing the 'Enter' key on your keyboard or using the mouse pointer
- Put the item in the shopping cart
Keep in mind that if you add the product for which you have just changed the price for your customer directly in the web shop into the cart and the exact same product is already there, the price for both products will change to the one you entered.
Staff user and a customer can interact in the webshop at the same time, e.g. staff user can change the prices while customers checkout and complete the order on their own. If a staff user or a customer wants to check the company's standard price, the staff user can reset changed prices. There are two methods for making it:
- Remove the price value from the input window
- In the input window, click on the price and then press the 'X' button
Please keep in mind that the catalogue allows you to display prices with or without VAT, so prices can be adjusted accordingly. Prices will be changed without VAT in other places (such as the product page, checkout page, and cart).
