Swepio's Zones function will assist you in distributing your warehouse by areas. Every zone contains racks, each rack contains sections, each section contains levels, and each level contains slots. A slot is a physical location where each product is kept. To create a new zone in your admin, follow these steps:

  1. Go to 'Warehouse', then 'Zones'
  2. Click the 'Create' button
  3. Enter the code for your warehouse zone, as well as its priority and maximum volume. In the priority window, enter a value in digits - the lower the value, the higher the priority.
  4. Choose the 'Assignment type'* and 'Assignment type limitation'**
  5. Enter the maximum and minimum value for allocation
  6. Enable or disable different products limit in one place (this means you can designate a zone for storing multiple items or just one. If you enable this option, you will be able to enter an unlimited number of different products in this zone)
  7. Click the 'Save' button

To create a new rack, select an existing zone and enter the same information as you did when you created the zone. Swepio conditions automatically inherit from the parent object. If you need to change a rack's conditions, simply uncheck the 'Conditions inheritance from parent object' option and edit the parent object's information. Create sections, levels, and slots in the same way.

Important

Priority of zone, rack, section, level, and slot are critical features that make your warehouse easy to use. Product lists in inbound allocation and outbound pickings are generated by this warehouse location priority. It makes it easier and faster for your warehouse staff to arrange and collect goods.

*There are three types of assignments in Swepio:

  • Automatic and manual - allows you to assign goods to a location both automatically and manually
  • Manual - allows you to manually assign products to locations by updating the location in the inbound allocation editing page
  • Blocked - prevents goods from being assigned to a warehouse location both manually and automatically

**The assignment type limitation option lets you specify whether or not the last allocation priority can be used. The final allocation priority is intended to find places in the warehouse for goods that did not meet the conditions of the preceding priorities or for which no places were found for the entire amount of goods.

After you've created the zones/sections/levels or slots you can always edit or delete them:

  1. Go to 'Zones'
  2. Click on the zone you want to edit
  3. Edit the zone settings and then click the 'Save' or 'Delete' button to completely remove the zone
